Made it though my first week back at school albeit just barely. It was tough. I would make it to about 2pm before the pain kicked up a notch. It was nice to see most of the kids though. A few problems surfaced and I have more work cut out for me than I ever imagined. I had a lot of self doubt this week. I still don't know if I am in the right place.
As I read my friends' blogs I am struck with a) how boring my life is and b) how great they write. Maybe it's because your own blog comes at you twice, when you write it and when you re-read it. I do know that checking for updates on friends' blogs is always interesting and informative.
Inspired by Amy's book reviews, I thought I would do the same, if only to remember that I actually read something. Although I am not reading at nearly the same rate.
The In-Between Boyfriends Book by Cindy Chupack
Chupack being the lauded and Emmy'ed writer for one of my favorite television shows Sex and the City, I thought I would absolutely love this book. Unfortunately it turned out to by a compilation of cherry picked moments from the show, with a few "pearls of wisdom" from a self proclaimed famous single. News flash Cindy, you are not Carrie Bradshaw no matter how hard you try to convince us. You didn't even create her, Darren Starr did. I had high hopes, but they were dashed. Oh well.
So you read it hear first. My one book review compared to Amy's six!
Maybe I'll get around to reading another this weekend. Hmmm, better to say that maybe I'll get around to posting more often!
